Bianca Cabán is an entrepreneur launching several entities based in New York and Puerto Rico to execute economic revitalization projects with a focus on real estate, medical cannabis, entrepreneurship and technology. She is a Founding Board Member of a financial accelerator program for Latina-owned businesses called AccessLatina. AccessLatina, launched in October 2015, invests in companies in STEAM, social innovation, and agribusiness/agtech, and seeks to harness and accelerate the Latina entrepreneurship impact in the U.S. to date by bringing access to capital to the global Latina community. In addition, as a Partner in Taino Capital LLC, she is a paid consultant to various global entities to expose them to the tax and economic incentives in Puerto Rico. Prior to these initiatives, as a member of the Founding Team of Atlas Merchant Capital LLC (“Atlas”) and Chief of Staff to the Founder and CEO, Bianca assisted in the creation of the firm, which employed a merchant banking approach to global financial services investing with a focus on subSaharan Africa. Before assisting to launch Atlas, Bianca was a Business Management & Analytics Associate at BlackRock, and she started her career as an Equity Research Analyst at Credit Suisse. Bianca is a member of the Admissions Committee of the Harvard Club of New York, The Chapin School Alumnae Board, Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle, World Economic Forum Global Shapers, New America Alliance American Latina Leadership Caucus and Young Leaders, and NationSwell Council. Also, she serves as a High School Interviewer for the Harvard Admissions Office, a Director for The Resolution Project, an Advisor and Selection Committee Member for the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program, and an Ambassador for civic organizations Run for America and Puerto Rico Global, an initiative of ConPRmetidos. Bianca was recognized for her leadership and business acumen as a recipient of the “Rising Star Award” at the 2014 National Puerto Rican Day Parade Gala in New York. She has been featured in Breakout, a national network of millennial rising leaders and tech entrepreneurs; Upworthy.com, millennial news outlet, for her work in bringing global investors to Puerto Rico; Cosmopolitan for Latinas September 2015 edition where she was named the Reader Winner of the “Fun Fearless Latina” Awards for her social innovation and investment in women-led businesses; and on ABC-7’s local TV news program “Tiempo” with anchor Joe Torres. Bianca earned a B.A. from Harvard College in 2009, where she founded the Latina Empowerment and Development Conference. She was born and raised in the Bronx, is of Puerto Rican descent, and has traveled and studied throughout Latin America.
