Claudio Phillips

Mr. Phillips was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico, the son of a Mexican mother and an American father. He was raised in Spokane, WA and attended college at Harvard University in Cambridge, MA. In 1983, Mr. Phillips graduated from Harvard with an A.B. in Government. 
Immediately after college graduation, Mr. Phillips began a career on Wall Street working at Citibank as a corporate credit trader/investor. From there, he held several senior trading positions at HSBC, Nationbank, and Salomon Brothers. In 2002, he left the private sector and worked pro bono for Habitat for Humanity of Westchester as the Associate Executive Director. In 2006, Mr. Phillips joined The Commonfund as a Managing Director. In 2010, he left The Commonfund to start a new venture with Ms. Maria Boyazny, MB Global Partners. MB Global Partners is an investment firm which offers a comprehensive solution for clients to tactically invest in special situations and distressed opportunities. 
Throughout his career, Mr. Phillips has been actively involved in community affairs. Among other volunteer positions, he was appointed to the Westchester County Hispanic Advisory Board, has served as President of the BoD of the Westchester Hispanic Coalition, and is currently the Vice President of the BoD of Habitat for Humanity of Westchester.
