Hector D. Vilchis is a Corporate Vice President and Market Manager of New York Life's Hispanic Market Initiative. In his role, Hector is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of the Company's major expansion strategy in the Hispanic Community which is geared to drive incremental growth in agent recruiting, productivity, and premium in this market. 
Prior to his current role, Hector oversaw the Cultural Markets Top Agent and Affluent sales initiative which focused on providing marketing, business development, and sales support to agents working in Targeted Affluent and High Net Worth markets in the U.S. 
Hector started his career with New York Life as a Senior Market Management Consultant in 2000. Subsequently Hector was promoted to Director, Assistant Vice President and Corporate Vice President as part of his in the strategic and management functions of the Business Unit. 
Hector obtained a BA degree in International Business with Specialization in Spanish and Latin America as well as a Certification in Translation Studies from San Diego State University. Hector also completed a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) degree at New York University's Stern School Business where he specialized in Finance and Global Business. 
Hector was named 2008 Executive of the Year by the Latin Chamber of Commerce of the U.S.A. (CAMACOL) and by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. He was recently featured in Latino Leaders Magazine 40 under 40 successful executives and entrepreneurs issue. 
He reside in New York City and is a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, the U.S.-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, the NYU Alumni Association, and New York Life's Hispanic Employee Network Group.
