Jorge A. Rodriguez is a Consultant with ACA Compliance Group, a consulting firm for investment advisers, private funds, and brokers-dealers. Prior to joining ACA, Mr. Rodriguez held several regulatory and compliance positions in the private, self-regulatory, and government sectors, including positions at Trust Company of the West, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, and the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. His primary area of expertise is investment adviser regulation.
Mr. Rodriguez is a founding member of the New America Alliance's Emerging Leaders initiative in Los Angeles, California and the Founding President and Chairperson of LBSA Fund, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that awards scholarships to Latino college students pursuing careers in business. He is also a board member of the UCLA Anderson Latino Management Alumni association and a member of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs, ALPFA, and the CFA Society. In addition, as a Riordan MBA Fellow and a UCLA Law Fellow, he is a mentor to prospective business school and law school students.
Mr. Rodriguez obtained a JD from the UCLA School of Law, an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, and a BS in Business Administration form the UC Berkley Haas School of Business. While at UCLA, Mr. Rodriguez was the Co-President of the Latino Management Student Association, the Vice Chairperson of the Mexican American Bar Association Student Outreach Committee, and the Secretary of the La Raza Law Student Association. While at UC Berkeley, he was a Co-Founder and the first elected President of the Latino Business Student Association. In addition, he regularly conducted college outreach workshops for prospective students through the Raza Recruitment and Retention Center.
Mr. Rodriguez is a first-generation American with family roots in Michoacán, Mexico. He as raised in Carson, California and currently resides in Downey, California.
