On May 2-3, we kicked off our 2019 National Tour Texas and enjoyed reconnecting with advocates across the state who have been supporters of diversity and the NAA for years.
A special thank you to our Co-Hosts Foley & Lardner LLP, City of Austin Employee Retirement System, Austin Fire and Police Pension, Teacher Retirement System of Texas, Employees Retirement System of Texas, Texas Treasury, San Antonio Fire and Police, COAERS, Dallas Fire and Police, Dallas Area Rapid Transit, GCM Grosvenor, NEPC, Rock Creek and to all the other investors and supporters of emerging managers who joined us in Austin.
We kicked off our visit with a private tour of Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies and Benson Library. The museum holds the largest collection of Latino artifacts in the world, dating back 500+ years!
Next following the private tour, we headed to Foley & Lardner LLP for a warm gathering and panel discussion with Marianne Dwight, Former General Counsel, Texas Treasury Safekeeping Trust, Advisor LLILAS Benson Advisory Council and James Taylor, Partner, Vianovo. The evening ended with closing remarks by our special guest, the Honorable Senator Carol Alvarado.

The following day we met with San Antonio Fire & Police, ERS, TRS, City of Austin Employees Retirement System, City of Austin Police Retirement System and Foley & Lardner LLP for a series of Thought Leadership and Roundtable discussions.
