How to Password Protect Photos, Apps and Folders on the iPhone and iPad

 

Many applications perform useful functions, and you don't need to think about how to record a call on an iphone or process a photo. In particular, some programs can protect your files. Folder lock is probably the most ideal password protection application. Apple users can now stop unwanted users from accessing their iPhones and iPads. This application that works like magic makes it convenient to lock pictures, videos, and files within a second. These days password protection is of great importance. You don’t want your Mom snooping through your pictures, do you? Well nobody does. Sometimes your photos can be misused by others, some unwanted pictures can be posted online. With this Folder Lock application, you can protect all your images whether they be in jpg, bmp, gif or any other. Neat right?

 

Here are some simple steps to locking your picture:

 

Step1. Download Folder Locker from iTunes App Store

 

Step2. Run the app and set and confirm the password as your please. Choose a strong password with lots of alphanumeric. Make sure you don’t forget your password.

 

Step3.  In case you have Wi-Fi activated, a hint window with an IP and Port will pop up when you log into the app.

 

Step 4. Enter this IP and Port into your web browser. This will trigger to open the Web Interface of the Folder Lock. So that now you could easily transfer files from your PC to your handheld.

 

Step 5. Enter the same password that was set earlier on in Folder Lock to start access and transfer of data.

 

Step 6. Whenever you log in tot the app, you shall see different headings. One for Documents, one for pictures, videos, audios and lastly miscellaneous. The app sorts files on its own for your easy management.

 

Well, actually all types of pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx,, txt, text, rtf, rtfd, log, cpp, c, webarchive, h, m and mm files will be categorized in Document category.

 

All types of jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, bmpf, gif, tif, tiff, ico, cur and xbm will be categorized in Pictures category.

 

All types of mp3, wav, aac, m4a, aif and aiff files will be categorized in Audios category.

 

All types of mp4, mov, 3gp and mpv files will be categorized in Videos category; and all other remaining formats will be categorized in Miscellaneous category.

 

Step 8. Now to protect your images and pictures, all you have to do is simply transfer them from your computer to the app and voila! All the photographs will get saved in the picture category. You also have the option to add a copy from the Gallery to your Locker. What you can do is go to ‘Photo Gallery’, select the picture you intend to protect and select Copy to Locker. Now within the Folder Lock, you can checkout the protected pictures in slideshow mode.
