Mr. David Hinson has been the Chief Financial Officer and Chief of Mergers & Acquisitions at MicroTechnologies, LLC since September 2015. Mr. Hinson leads all financial operations, acquisition activities and head the new MicroTech Financial Services Division. Mr. Hinson has a wealth of finance, government and senior level management experience. Mr. Hinson served as Vice President of Engineering at IZEA, Inc. Mr. Hinson started his professional career as an Actuarial Student with American General Life and Accident Insurance Companies, where he analyzed financial models in collaboration with McKinsey and Company for American General's interest-sensitive life insurance products. Beginning in 1987, Mr. Hinson transitioned into more entrepreneurial pursuits and began working with a string of start up technology companies in the Nashville, TN area. From 1989 to 1995, he served with Network Data Corporation, where he served as the Director of Point of Sales Systems, creating point of sale and back office software for Carl's Junior, Hess, Citgo, and Farm Stores. Prior to joining MicroTech, Mr. Hinson was an Obama Administration Appointee and served as the National Director of the Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA), where he led the Agency to its best 5-year performance in its 45-year history. In June of 1996, Mr. Hinson created Sumner Systems Management, a software consulting and supplemental manpower services company. As President for fourteen years, he created innovative large scale engineering systems for the Bank of America. In addition, Mr. Hinson was selected to service on the White House Business Council and President's Interagency Taskforce on Small Business Contracting, among others. Prior to government, Mr. Hinson held various senior level management positions at Wealth Management Network, Envestnet Asset Management, Bank of America and Morgan Stanley. He created Cheap Gas!, an iPhone application for locating the cheapest gasoline stations closest to where a person is located. In total, Mr. Hinson has created or contributed to some 25+ mobile applications, for companies including UberSocial, Wycliffe Bible Translators, TweetPhoto / Plixi / Lockerz, and Urban Airship. He is a 1985 graduate of Tennessee Technological University. Mr. Hinson holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania - Wharton School and completed Executive Management Training at the Tuck Business School, Dartmouth College
