The Valley Leadership has name NAA board member  Tommy Espinoza man of the year. For the last 65 years, The Valley Leadership has honored outstanding men & women for their long-term contribution and commitment to their community. For three decades, Valley Leadership has brought leadership development programs to men, women, and youth who serve and strengthen the community. Lennox Hill Neighborhood House will be honoring NAA Board Member Juan Sabater at their Gala on April 15 for the work he has done on behalf of the house throughout the year. Lenox Hill Neighborhood House is a 121-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated human services-including social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health, nutritional and fitness-which significantly improve the lives of 20,000 people in need each year, 3 to 103, on the East Side of Manhattan. NAA Board Member Carmen Ortiz-McGhee was recently promoted to Senior Vice President and Resident Sales Director for The Capital office of Aon Risk Solutions (ARS), the global leader in commercial insurance brokerage and risk consulting.  In this role she is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration throughout the Maryland, District of Columbia and Northern Virginia region. The Smithsonian National Museum of American History will be adding a collection of business records, public service announcements and video documenting the legacy of Sosa, Bromley, Aguilar and Associates, now Bromley Communications. NAA member Ernest Bromley, Lionel Sosa and Al Aguilar are known as the three "Godfathers of Hispanic Marketing," and this collection honors the impact their approach has had on the entire ad industry - becoming the standard for the Hispanic market. We congratulate NAA Non-Profit member Maria Teresa Kumar and President and CEO of Voto Latino on hosting "Changing America" on MSNBC's new portal of streaming-video programming, "Shift by MSNBC" on Tuesdays at 10 AM EST. "Changing America" will tackle race and immigration in America, our country's changing demographics and what it means for our future. NAA Young Leader and Founder of VOIQ Ricardo Garcia-Amaya recently added to his team of investors Will Bunker, founder of Match.com, as well as the new addition to VOIQ's Biz Dev team, Match.com executive Sean Sheppard. VOIQ currently carries out 10,000 calls/month with the goal to reach 250,000 calls/month by the month of June. NAA Young Leader Mateo Raul Magdaleno, Chief Education Officer at IDQ Group Inc., launched of his IDQ World Tour this month. The IDQ World Tour is breaking through classrooms, faculty suites, lecture halls, and conference centers across 30 states and 5 countries to bring an experience that activates its audience with the power of resilience to achieve their dreams through finding their passion and purpose by DEFYING THEIR URGE TO QUIT.  This Tour will provide college & career readiness programming by uniting schools with non-profit partners, private sector investors, and public sector leaders, equipping students and the community surrounding them with the tools to successfully lay foundation to finding purpose in their lives and being agents of positive change in our world. We congratulate Jennifer Cortez for transitioning into the corporate world as Community Outreach Specialist for the Ford Motor Company Fund. In her role with The Ford Fund, Jennifer will work under the direction of Community Outreach Manager Joe Avila and Comunicad to support Hispanic outreach efforts in Texas and nationally, including signature programs and implementing Operation Better World in Texas and other select markets across the United States. She will also manage community development programs locally and nationally as well as serve as liaison to local and national non-profit partners and work internally with Ford Fund and other Ford Functions to deliver Ford Fund objectives and ONE Ford plan. We thank Jennifer for her contributions to the NAA as Director of Programs & Communications over the last 4 years and wish her success on her new endeavor.

We are delighted to add Joshua Maldonado to the NAA team as our new Assistant Director of Programs and Marketing. Joshua previously provided on-site support at our 2011 and 2012 Wall Street Summits in New York City. Originally from Bayamon, PR, Joshua received a BA in Political Science from the Interamericana University in San Juan, PR. Prior to joining NAA, Josh work at AT&T as a Retail Sales Consultant in New York and Dallas. Given his passion for the judicial system, Josh has aspirations of becoming an attorney.
