Dear NAA Members and Friends,
As we gear up for the launch of our packed 2018 National Tour with a visit to Washington, DC, I want to share some thoughts with you.
Last year, as you know, was my first year shepherding this creative, energetic and brilliant community of business leaders. The support and welcome I received was beyond anything I could have expected. Your engagement, guidance, and financial support helped us end the year with several milestones to be proud of.
In 2017 we welcomed twenty new members representing fifteen different firms into the NAA ecosystem, met with over twenty LPs and more than ten investment consultants, and matched up Latino entrepreneurs seeking capital for their businesses with NAA members interested in mentoring and investing in such businesses. We also refocused our Latinas initiative and introduced over a dozen candidates to corporations and organizations in need of talent.
Finally, building on the tireless leadership of Juan Sabater and Tom Soto, and on our successes in the earlier part of the year, we elected Carmen Ortiz McGhee to lead our Board of Directors as Chair. Carmen's experience, energy, and strategic mind will no doubt serve us well as we continue to grow this critical advocacy network of ours.
